Justin sat in one of the meeting rooms at Jive Records. The guys along with Johnny were all seated around him. They were waiting for Bill Gordon, the vice president of Jive Records.

None of the guys were talking. They were all nervous as to what Jive would do to Justin and how they were going to handle the situation. Johnny had warned them when Justin told him.

~*Flashback*~

Johnny walked into the door of his office and found all five NSYNC members sitting in his office.

"What are you guys doing here? I thought you had a day off." Johnny said.

"We have to tell you something." JC said.

"Well okay. I have some news to tell you guys about too." Johnny said.

"You go first." Justin said.

"Britney and I talked about this world tour she is going on and if you guys want to go I think we can find the time in your schedules. Plus we can promote the new album too. So do you guys want to go?" Johnny asked them.

All five guys looked at each other. They had discussed it the night before and they were all willing to do the tour.

Lance spoke for the guys.

"We have talked this over and we think that its a great idea."

"Who else has Britney got to go?" Joey asked.

"BBMac offered to do the tour and I think that Christina is a go too." Johnny said, "Now what do you guys have to tell me?"

The four guys looked at Justin. It was agreed that Justin would tell Johnny and if Justin needed their help they would say something.

"Well," Justin began. He was a little scared as to how Johnny would react, but Johnny wasnt just NSYNCs manger he was also their friend. "Im going to be a dad."

Johnnys eyes looked about ready to pop out of his head. "HA HA! Im not falling for this Justin."

"Im not joking Johnny. Jayne is pregnant with my child. I am going to be a father." Justin said a little more serious.

Johnnys face suddenly turned as serious as Justins, "Its not a joke?"

"No its not a joke." Justin answered still in a serious manner.

"Wow Justin. This is some big news." Johnny said.

"It surprised me too." Justin said.

"This is a surprise, but I am happy for you and Jayne. Im just worried about how everybody else is going to take this."

"Do you think it will hurt the group?" Justin asked. He knew that if this caused any problems between the group he would hate himself forever. He loved the four other guys and he didnt want to ruin their careers too.

"To tell you the truth Justin, I have no clue."

"How do you think the label will take it?" Joey asked.

"I have a feeling they are not going to like it." Johnny answered. "But I think we should set up a meeting as soon as possible."

~*End of Flashback*~

"Justin hes here." JC whispered tapping him on the shoulder.

"Hello everyone." Bill said entering the meeting room and taking a sit across from Justin.

"I hear you guys have some news for me." He said smiling.

Jayne was sitting in the kitchen just sharing at her food. She was so worried about how the meeting was going for Justin. She wanted to go with him but he said that it would be better if she just didnt go.

She felt bad. What if something happened. It would be her fault too. She was so scared to how the media was going to take it. If anything happened to NYSNC she knew she would be able to live with herself. She didnt want to cause any trouble for the group. They all meant so much to her.

She went and picked up the phone and dialed Kaitlins phone number.

"Kaitlin speaking." Jayne heard Kaitlin say.

"Hey its me." She said to her best friend.

"Jayne whats wrong?" Kaitlin asked her. She knew something was wrong by Jaynes voice.

"I love how you know me so well." Jayne said smiling.

"Well I have known you since you were in diapers!" Kaitlin said. "So whats on your mind?"

"Justin is in a meeting right now telling Jive about the baby. Im scared that something is going to happen and I am going to cause the breakup of NSYNC." Jayne said truthfully to her friend.

"Jayne Brooks you listen to me you are not going to cause the breakup of NSYNC. And you have to understand that you did not mean for this to happen. If anything happens to NSYNC it will be NSYNCs fault." Kaitlin said.

"But Im carrying the thing that could breakup the group or cause the label to drop them."

"Jayne listen you worry way too much! If anything does happen the guys are not going to blame you because they know that you did not do this on propose and they are your friends."

"I know but I just feel so bad."

"You need to get out and have some fun! Forget about that a meeting is taking place." Kaitlin told her friend.

"I wish you were here." Jayne said missing her best friend.

"So do I. I miss my man!" Kaitlin said.

"Hey what about me!"

"Oh yeah I miss you too!"

"Have you got any weeks off of work yet for the tour?"

"I told my boss that I wanted at least two weeks off later this year and he said he will try to work it out but no promises."

"He better let you off!" Jayne yelled. "Hows my dad doing? I talk to him on the phone but I dont get to see him physically. Hows he look?"

"Your dad is doing really good. He came by for his checkup the other day and I asked Kathy how he was doing and she said very good."

"Good. After the tour my dad is going to move down here." Jayne told Kaitlin.

"Really!"

"Yeah. I dont like him being so far away so I asked him if he would like to move down here that way he could see his grandchild more and he said that he was thinking of moving down here for awhile. So after the tour he is over we are going house shopping for him!"

"Hes so happy that he is going to be a grandfather. Kathy and I think thats one of the reasons he is doing so much better." Kaitlin said remembering the talk her and Kathy had earlier that week.

"Hes coming down to visit in a week. You should come down with him." Jayne said.

"I wish I could but I have to work."

"It was worth a shot." Jayne said wishing her friend didnt have to work so much. She was starting to get worried about her. She had been working nonstop. It seemed to Jayne that all she did was work.

Justin looked up at Mr. Gordon scared to tell him. Johnny offered to tell the label but Justin knew that he had to do it.

"Mr. Gordon I am just going to cut to the chase here. My girlfriend Jayne and I found out a couple of days ago that she is pregnant."

Mr. Gordon looked straight at Justin.

"So you and your girlfriend decided not to use protection and mess up your career."

"No."

"It sure looks like it. Do you know how the public is going to take this? Do you know what this is going to do your career? What it is going to do to your friends careers? What about your fans? Did you think about this when you were two busy having sex?"

Justin was growing mad but he kept his cool.

"No I did not think about it but we can get though this." Justin said trying to reason this out.

"Get though this? No we are not going to get though this. You know why? Because you are going to deny that the baby is yours. If any reporter asks you if this is true you are going to say no."

Justin anger was growing stronger.

"I am not going to deny this baby. I will not let Jayne go though this all by herself. Sure we may not be married and we may be young but we will make great parents and I love Jayne and I will love this baby." Justin said.

"Justin you have to deny this baby. If you still want to be the popular Justin Timberlake you are going to have to deny the baby and forget about your girlfriend."

Justin was just plain mad at what Mr. Gordon was saying. How could he say Forget about your girlfriend and baby.

"Excuse me Mr. Gordon but I am not going to leave my girlfriend and have her take of this baby all by herself. I want to be their for the baby and I want to be a great father and that is not going to happen if I say this baby is not mine and throw my girlfriend out." Justin said yelling at Mr. Gordon now.

"Justin you just dont understand. This is the entertainment business we are talking about. They are going to"

"Mr. Gordon may I say something?" JC asked him.

"I guess."

"Justin has talked this over with all of us. And we are behind him one hundred percent. We know that if this happened to either of us he would be behind us too. Plus we know that Justin will make a great father. If and when the media finds out we will be ready for it and be able to handle it because we are in this together."

"What about the fans?" Mr. Gordon asked.

"Hopefully our fans will stand behind us all the way."

"You know that is not possible right?" Mr. Gordon said.

"We just know that we have great fans and whatever happens, happens." JC said.

Justin looked up at his friend. He knew right then and there that he had the greatest friends in the world. He always knew it but hearing JC tell Mr. Gordon that they were going to stand behind him no matter what just made him want to hug each of them.

"I dont like this at all Justin. And I want you to know that. Here is the deal. We are going to keep this out of the media. I know that they will find out sooner or later but as for right now nobody is to say anything and if anybody asks either of you about it you guys say you dont know anything about it. You guys will be out of the country for a few months so we will have some time to talk about what we are going to do about this." Mr. Gordon said.

"So we are still signed to Jive?" Chris, who hadnt said a word the whole meeting, asked.

"Yes." Mr. Gordon said and walked out.

"Thanks JC." Justin said as him and the rest of the guys along with Johnny, sat in Johnnys office.

"Justin I have to admit something." JC said looking really serious.

The seriousness in JCs face scared Justin. "What?"

"I didnt mean everything I said. Like the part about being behind you all the way was true, but I dont know what will happen when the fans find out. I dont know if we will be able to get though it. What if they turn on Jayne? What is something happens to her? Justin Im dont if we will be able to get though it." JC said honestly to Justin.

Chris who really hadnt said anything looked up at Justin, "Justin I do agree with JC on most of it and it scares me when he says he doesnt know if we can get though this but I am your friend before your band mate and Im behind you."

Justin looked up at Chris.

"Thanks. And I know you guys are all scared because this can affect your careers too. You guys know that if this ruined them I wouldnt be able to live with myself"

"Thats what Im worried about Justin." JC said interrupting him.

Justin looked at JCs face. He had never seen so much fear. Did JC think that Justin would kill himself if anything happened to the group? Would he?

"JC I am not going to do anything like that. I have Jayne and the baby. I want to be here for both of them."

Lance who had been looking down at the floor lifted his head and said, "I have faith that we can get though it. We are always here for each other and we all have known each other for so long. We are best friends and thats the most important thing. If the media, our fans, and label turn against us we will still have each other and as long as I have you guys as my best friends I know that I will still have something."

"Lance has a point. I have known you guys for so long and I know that you guys can get though everything. Look at how much you guys have been though already. And you know why you got though it? Because you were there for each other. You all have some pretty amazing friends. I have faith that you guys will get though it and you know I will here helping you all the way." Johnny said.

"Im with Lance on this one too. And Justin you have to realize that if anything does happen not to blame yourself entirely." Joey who had been playing with his hands said.

"We can get though this!" Chris said making a funny face causing everyone to laugh.

"Now that we got this over with, can we get something to eat?" Joey asked.

Everyone laughed.

"Sure thing." Johnny said.

Justin was sitting on his back porch staring at the stars and the full moon.

His mind kept drafting back to the meeting. Did JC think that he would really hurt himself if something happened? He was scared for Justin. But Justin had Jayne and a baby to look forward too. He wouldnt end his life now. Would he?

He always came back to that question every time he asked himself that. Would he really do it? He said himself he wouldnt be able to live if he ruined his friends careers.

He heard the sliding door open and Jayne walked out.

"Hey you have been sitting here for awhile." She said sitting down next to him.

"Ive just been thinking."

"Justin did something else happen at the meeting that you are not telling me about?" Jayne asked. She knew something was bothering Justin.

"Jayne I dont know what to think. One of my best friends thinks Im going to commit suicide if anything happened to the group." Justin said looking at her shocked face.

"What are you talking about Justin?"

"JC told me that he thinks if anything were to happen to the group that I wouldnt be able to live with the fact that I was part of the reason it did break up." Justin grabbed a leaf from the plant that was sitting next to him. "He had this look of fear on his face that I have never seen before. I was so scared Jayne."

Jayne was speechless. JC thought Justin would kill himself. Then Jayne thought about it. If anything happened to Justin she wouldnt be able to live with herself either. She had already gone though a bad breakup before and she didnt know if she could do it again. She was scared for Justin and herself.

Justin looked at Jayne. She was just staring at the sky.

"You think I would do it too. Dont you?" Justin said sadly.

Jayne green eyes met his blue eyes.

"Justin we cant think these thoughts. We have to think about this baby. I cant lose you because I dont know if I would be able to go on." Jayne said and looked back up at the sky.

"Jayne you are not going to lose me." Justin said and placed his hand on her cheek. "I love you."

"I love you too Justin but Im scared. If anything were happen to the group I would blame myself too."

"Jayne how many times have I told you that it is not just your fault. You didnt make this baby on your own."

"You need to think the same way too." Jayne said moving her head to look him the eyes. She knew that if anything did happen to the group that something might happen to Justin. Even if he did have the baby and her, he could never live with ruining his best friends lives. What they had worked for so long.

She looked at Justin to find him looking at the sky.

"I remember when Kaitlin would spend the night and we start to argue we would come out and look at the stars and everything would be okay. We both loved looking them and would sometimes sleep outside and watch them for hours. We wouldnt say anything just sit and think. It always helped us out. I would think of my mom and wonder what my life would if she was still around. But then I would think about my dad and realize that I still had him and how lucky I was." She said and joined Justin in watching the stars.

"Theirs so much more out there that we cant see." Justin said.

"And it always changes. Thats why I can look up at the sky for hours. It helps me think."

Justin looked down at Jayne, "I love you."

"I love you." Jayne said looking away from the sky.

They both turned back to watch the stars shining in the dark sky and wonder what else what out there that they couldnt see.

Chapter 3
